What other group gets its own holiday except for TVXQ? That's how legendary they are :D
Tohoshinki's Breakout:
During all this turmoil between SM ent, and DBSK, a cassiopeian such as I can't help but wonder, what will happen to our beloved Dong Bang Shin Ki? What will the future hold for us fans, and more importantly, what will it be like for our boys? Let's take a blast to past shall we?
H.O.T (acronym for "High five of Teenagers) a legendary korean boyband that consisted of five members; Moon Hee Jin, KangTa, Tony An, Jang Woo Hyuk, Lee Jae Won. They're DBSK's sunbaes because they were under SM entertainment long before DBSK debuted (H.O.T debuted in 1996, whereas DBSK debuted in '03-'04). They are credited for being the forerunners of the "idol group" trend in korea. H.O.T is among the ranks of Shinhwa and G.O.D, both legendary boybands that helped shape today's idol industry.
What happened? H.O.T DISBANDED in 2001, and was rumored to have financial disputes with their management company, SM entertainment. Sound familiar? Well, for those of you who have been living under a rock these few months, the three members of DBSK, Jaejoong, Micky, and Xiah Junsu have been battling an uncompromising court case against none other than LSM. To which they won, and became free agents.Anyways, back to what I was trying to say. Now, H.O.T disbanded in 01, that was around the time when DBSK were still trainees. So around the time between '01 and '03, SM ent. concentrated mainly on their other boyband at the time, Black Beat. Since Black Beat couldn't live up to expectations, SM left them alone and didn't do any promoting since then. Now SM ent. had to once again, look for a group to fill up the large hole the H.O.T left behind. That, was when they debuted Yunho U-Know, YoungWoong Jaejoong, Micky Yoochun, Xiah Junsu, and Max Changmin as TVXQ! (DBSK). TVXQ shot to fame as being korea's no.1 boyband, and then one of asia's best boybands; gaining the worlds largest fanclub that made it in to the Guinness Book of World Records as the worlds largest fanbase. The boys then made it into the book a second time as being the most photographed celebrities.
Six years have passed since then, and TVXQ! are no longer the dongsaengs (youngest) of SM entertainment, instead they are the top recording artists in SM ent with endorsements here and there, acting opportunities and are one of the prevailing artists in Japan. They are at the height of their fame. But in July of 2009 news broke out that SM ent. was having a court case with DBSK. The 3 members of DBSK had originally filed this case for the 13 year long "slave contract" that they signed with SM. When the news broke however, SM ent tried to put the blame on the three members stating that this case was over the fact that these members had shares in a cosmetic company. So the three members of DBSK had won this court case and became free agents, but the other two (Yunho and Changmin) still remains with SM entertainment. After the three members became free agents, SM released an official statement that all of TVXQ's korean activities will be canceled. Cassiopeians were then reassured that their activities in Japan will remain unchanged, although SM clearly stated that TVXQ will be on a long hiatus in korea (We'll just have to see how long). Up until recently, their career in Japan has remained unchanged despite what was happening in korea. but a few days ago, I received news that there has been some conflict within AVEX (TVXQ's management company in japan) about TVXQ. Which then made me realize that this conflict probably has something to do with SM ent, as SM were the ones who signed TVXQ with AVEX. Back to H.O.T. So, H.O.T was also put in a long hiatus before sm officially disbanded them. Their successor was/is TVXQ. Now that TVXQ is experiencing the same problems as H.O.T, I can't help but think that their future is going to be as grim as H.O.T's. (Hopefully not though). So if history really will repeat itself (oh god no!!) who do you think will take over DBSK's legacy? My votes are on SHINee. Think about it, LSM has been promoting them sooo much recently, and lets not forget about those music shows that they've swiped nearly all the awards on. They've become just as popular as their 13 member sunbaes Super Junior in a short amount of time. I've had this thought for a long time already, and that's SHINee is becoming the second generation of TVXQ! My logic tells me that this is going to be true, and that DBSK will disband (or move to another management company, but they can't because Yunho and Changmin still have their contracts with SM) or AVEX will step in (hopefully they do). But inner fangirl still has a lot of hope, and is still KEEPING THE FATIH.
Who knew that SHINee's music video would also go soo well with 'Mirotic'? haha I absolutely LOVE this video!!
unfortunately i cant put the video here, so you guys are going to have to click on this link : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sZ_QBSr7Fto&feature=related
Members of the Korean Cassiopeia, TVXQ/DBSK's official fanclub, have released their official statement regarding SM Entertainment's press conference regarding legal dispute involving DBSK which took place yesterday. Here is the translated version of their statement:
We 800,000 Cassiopeians would like to announce our official view in this statement. With accusations and allegations flying everywhere, we announce this in order to show the fanclub's official standing on this matter. This statement is made by union of numerous DBSK fan cafes and we present this in the name of Cassiopeia.
First of all, we would like to say that, as fans of DBSK, we support DBSK and will not do anything to betray their trust in us. We will not trust anything besides words that come out of the DBSK members' mouths, and we ask SME to stop actions that are intended to confuse and divide the fans.
We Cassiopeians are very disappointed in SME for holding press conference and releasing signed documents in the name of Yunho and Changmin. As the management company of DBSK, SME must not forget their job and must stop their actions intended to defame the members of DBSK and break the group apart. Also, according the the court ruling made on the 27th, SME must not make deals with third parties in the name of the three members and cannot interfere with individual works or those members. Please keep the court's order.
To everyone who is reading this statement, please remember: the members did not take legal actions because of the issues regarding the cosmetics business. They started this lawsuit because of illegal contract length of 13 years. We fans do not understand why SME is silent about the issue of the contract length and is trying to focus everyone's attention on the cosmetics fiasco. The goal of this lawsuit was to nullify or edit contract between SME and the three members, and we believe that they did not intend to end DBSK or move onto another management company. Also, we would like to address to reporters who sensationalize and create rumours related to this press conference. Please be careful with your sources.
We would like to ask SME one more time to not make the three members' reputation and rights suffer with claims that have never been proven, and we would like to ask the citizens of Korea to stop creating rumours and defame DBSK. We would like to show our condolences toward this controversy.
As Cassiopeians, the fans of DBSK, we will keep our attention focused to the future actions of DBSK and SME. We will continue to side with DBSK. DBSK and fans will never doubt eachother.

You can vote everyday if you want to !!! So please vote for DBSK/Tohoshinki!! Plus, they're the only Kpop artist that is left in the competition. T.T so go vote for them!! http://www.channelv.com/rde/v/3564_3567.htm
TVXQ / DBSK / Tohoshinki is in the latest issue of "Duet Magazine." This is supposedly a big deal because the magazine had only put Johnny's Entertainment groups in the magazine, and having TVXQ in the issue will make it the first time a non Johnny's group is in the magazine.
Johnny's Entertainment is known for putting pressure and oppression on other companies but there's a feeling that they're making an exception for TVXQ. The reason being that TVXQ is huge in the asian market with the "World Record" fan club of over 800,000 registered fans (thats not counting the ones that AREN'T part of their fanclub, cuz I know that Hero Jaejoong, the center one has more than four million fans) and Johnny's wanting to expand into these asian markets in the future. They want to have friendly relations because they don't want to be seen as rivals and it'll be better for them image wise with a friendly relationship.
TVXQ is doing big things in Japan at a very rapid pace, just a year ago they weren't allowed on certain Music Shows or Magazines (limited to Johnny's), but now they're breaking down all those barriers. It's good to see them grow and be more accepted in Japan. Thanks to BBang, tvxqlover, tinbum for the tips.
Ok, if you're thinking that [MR] stands for [Medical Room] such as [ER] stands for emergency room, you're utterly wrong my friend. [MR] really stands for Music Recorded, that is, the background music in the music videos or live performances. [MR] removed videos are videos of live performances that have the bakground music eliminated or decreased to a low volume. This maximizes the singers voice(s) and makes their voice the focus point. Singers that have reveived very positive feedback from these [MR] removed vids are: DBSK (or TVXQ), BoA, SS501 (the group that Kim Hyun joong, the guy that plays Rui in the korean version of HYD is in), and Big Bang. The groups that have received criticism though include: Wondergirls, and KARA.
