2009 is coming to an end, and for some reason I really wanted to make a post about all (and I mean all if not then most) of the celebrities that I have listened to, or watched online or on TV. I'll be posting up videos about them (if I can find them ).

 

Big Bang :  Here is a group that I have stopped listening to since their Haru Haru days. They have once again caught my attention with their newest (and award winning) Japanese single "Gara Gara Go!"   Big Bang recently won an award at the Japan Record Awards show for " Rookie New Comer " award. Congratulations to them, and I'm looking forward to more awesome beats from them in the future. :) Gara Gara Go! (little interview+ Gara Gara Go!)

Mika Nakashima:  I didn't really take notice of this artist until she constantly appeared on the show Music Fair. She is a beautiful singer, and her song 雪の華 Yuki no Hana is really worth a listen! Here's the MV for Yuki no Hana.

Kanjani8: One of my favorite Johnny's Groups.   I wasn't really into them before I came across one of their PV's (MV) called "Wahaha". It's one of my favorite music videos of all time because it is so much fun! And the song is catchy ;D. After I listened to "wahaha" , I listened to another one of their songs called "Musekenin Hero" which is also another funny music video with a catchy song! I'm starting to really like this group because they seem so different from other bands I've known. Here's Wahaha:

Julian Cheung ChiLam: How can I forget one of my favorite Hong Kong TVB singer/actors? 2009 was the year he made a comeback with his brand new album "I am Chilam". My favorite song from the album would be : 情愛現代事故 (Modern Love story, but backwards). So here it is (it's got a really nice beat to it, and it's an audio):

Arashi: Another one of my favorite Johnny's Bands. With 5x10 All the Best! out, 2009 marks this groups 10th year anniversary! Congratulations! My favorite songs from them this year are Attack It! (the hidden track) and of course 5x10. Here's Attack It! ~PS. I love you MasaMiya!~

 

 Hins Cheung: Oh boy, how can I forget my lovable husband from Hong Kong??? xD Singer and song writer Hins Cheung has one of THE MOST powerful vocals in today's Cantonese music scene. My favorite songs from him includes: Yes and No, Hurt so Bad, Blessing, 遇見神 (Meeting God, mind you he's a devoted Christian). But since it is 2009, I'll only post up Yes and No because he came out with this single this year.

 DBSK/Tohoshinki: Of course they are included in here!! I'm a true cassiopeian at heart <3 that's why I can't forget The Gods (DBSK stands for Dong Bang Shin Ki, or The Rising Gods of the East). Despite all of the turmoil with the DBSK vs. SM ent. case, DBSK still managed to come out with a brand new Japanese single "Break Out" and win the Musical Excellence Award for their Oricon Chart topping hit Stand By You. Here's Break Out and Stand By You.

Oricon style recently updated their website with revenue earnings from DVD+CD sales in 2009. In Japan, Tohoshinki came in at number 3 raking in ¥6,895,000,000 or $76,910,190. Oricon also put in a small snippet on how TVXQ made such a huge leap in a short amount of time and that there's no telling how far the boys can go in the future.

Here's the top 3:

1 - Arashi - ¥14,461,000,000 (161.3 million USD)
2 - EXILE - ¥12,932,000,000 (144.2 million USD)
3 - Tohoshinki - ¥6,895,000,000 (76.9 million USD)

Gekidan Hitori guest starred on Arashi's latest episode of Arashi no Shukudaikun. It turns out the Hitori-san is a MAJOR fanboy of Kara! He introduced the girls, and even mentioned facts about each of the members as well; such as Park Gyuri's mother,and Nicole's recent college challenge. Then, the Arashi members questioned him about how he knew these facts about Kara. Hitori-san told them that he had to look for it through the internet, but since it was all in Korean, he had to buy a translator. He even mentioned that he put down a lot of money to auction for Kara memorabilia. Kara sent this variety show a video stating that they were very happy to introduce themselves to him first. They're very thankful, and that if they ever go to Japan, they will meet up with him for sure. To this, Gekidan expressed much enthusiasm and responded " I have never been so happy while filming a show. If I die now, I won't have any regrets."  So you see? This is what I like, K-pop and J-pop together :D go Kara!

 The End of the Rainbow

 

Christine looks at her watch.

 Christine I hope I’m not late!

 

Christine walks over to a bench in the park.

 

Christine: Thank God they’re not here yet!

 

She sits down on the bench. She sighs deeply, and looks up in to the sky.

Something catches her eye, and she looks back down.  A teenage boy was proposing to the teenage girl with a bouquet of flowers.

 

Christine Eh? He’s asking her to be his girlfriend? ( she smiles to herself) But, come to think of it, HE asked me like that also.

 

-Flash back-  

-

 The first time I saw him was in the middle of my first year in high school.

 

Class 2-D,  lunchtime.

 

Michelle:  So Christine, do you have a crush on anyone yet?

Christine: Eh? No. Why, do YOU have one?

Michelle: mm..yes..

Christine: Who?

Michelle: Well, he’s from class 3-D, and his short hair’s dyed really light brown.

Christine : Ohno Satoshi?!

Michelle: Shhh! Not so loud!

Christine: oh sorry!

Michelle: I really want to try to talk to him, maybe even get his number! Oh! There he is right there!

 

They see Satoshi and his gang walking to their classroom.

Michelle: Lets go! This is my chance!

She pulls Christine along with her.

 

Christine: Chotto! Michelle, who’s that scary looking person with the spiked up hair and earrings?

Michelle (in a whisper): That’s Sho Sakurai. I heard that he got into a couple of fights with students from other schools. He’s pretty bad news, if you ask me.

 

Satoshi: You’re Michelle, right?

Michelle: H-hai! You, know me?

Satoshi: Yeah! Uh..I mean no. Uh.. wait. I mean that I’ve noticed you since the beginning of the year. I mean, you’re such a pretty girl, how can anyone not notice?

Michelle (blushing): Hontouni?

They soon strike up a conversation. Christine decides to leave. She tries to avoid eye contact with Sakurai Sho but fails because she notices him looking at her. She looks up at him but quickly looks back down.

 

Christine Man, what a scary person!

 

A few days later.

 

Christine: Michelle, wait for me. I can’t find my cellphone!

Michelle: Do you want me to keep on calling you?

Christine pours out all of her stuff in her bag

Christine: Oh my gosh Michelle, it’s not in here!

Michelle: Did you leave it somewhere then?

Christine: The library!

 

She ran into the library . She looked in between all of the shelves, and she finally found her cell phone stuck in between two books. Her phone rings and she picks it up.

 

Christine: It’s ok Michelle, you don’t have to call me anymore. I already found it.

 

Guy’s voice: Good, I’m glad you found it.

Christine: You found my phone for me? Wait.. who are you?

Guy: Haha.

He hangs up on her.

\Christine looks at her phone.

Hm.. let me check if all of my contacts are still here. *presses a few buttons*

Eh?! It’s all gone!  And my text messages are all gone! Why wouldhe  do this?! I should call him again just to check.

 

*dials his number*

Guy: Moshi Moshi

Christine: Why did you delete all of my contacts?! Only your phone number is visible to me.

Guy:  Only my phone number is visible to you?  Then I’m the  one and only person in you cell phone? That  makes me feel kind of important.

Christine: That doesn’t answer my question. Why did you delete all of my contacts?

Guy: Why are you so worried about that? They ARE your real friends, right? They’ll call you back sooner or later.

Christine: Ah, I have to go. My friend is waiting for me.

 

3:00 am

Christine’s cellphone rings.

 

Christine: mmf..Moshi Moshi

Guy: You sound like you’re asleep.

Christine: Well, I was, but now I’m not.

They start up a conversation.  They talk for a very long time.

 

Christine: I better get to sleep now. It’s very late, I’m sure.

Guy: Really? Take a look outside your window.

She  opens the shutters, and the sun shines in.

Christine: Oh my gosh, it’s already morning.

Guy: Hahaha. Hai! Ohiogozaimas!

*They talked since 3:00 in the morning, now it's already 9:00 in the morning*

Christine: *sigh* oh well, it’s a Sunday, so I think I’ll talk to you for a while longer.

Guy: Sure.

Christine hears her parents arguing with each other outside of her room.

Christine: Oh, god, they’re at it again.

Guy: Them?

Christine: My parents. Lately, they’ve been arguing a lot. I just didn’t think that they’d argue today, of all days.

Guy: Today of all days? Wait… it’s....... your birthday today?

Christine: Why do you care? I mean I don’t even know who you really are.

Guy: You really want to know who I am? Ok. Hang up, and take a picture of the sky. Then call me back.

Christine: Ok.

She hangs up and she looks outside once again.

Ah! There’s an airplane!

She holds her cell phone up and takes a picture of the airplane. She dials his number again.

Guy: Moshi Moshi

Christine: Yeah, I took the picture already.

Guy: Ok.  Now meet me at the back of the school tomorrow afterschool.

Christine: sure.

 

Monday

 

Michelle: So you’re going to meet your mystery man, huh?

Christine: Yup.

Michelle: But what if he turns out to be a gangster?

Christine: But he can’t be, he sounds so nice on the phone.

Michelle: I was just saying if. I’m just telling you to be careful, that’s all.

Christine: It’s ok. I will be careful.

The bell rings.

 

Christine walks over to the side of the school. She sees a boy standing there.

 

Christine: Um.. hello?

The guy turns around holding a *bouquet of flowers.

S-Sho Sakurai? How can this be?! It can’t be him!

 

She turns and walks in the other direction.

 

Sho runs in front of her.

Sho: wait! I am supposed to meet you here! Look!

He shows her the picture on his cell phone, and it is the exact same picture as hers.

 

*the flowers are fresh picked, so they aren’t wrapped or anything.

Sho: I just wanted to tell you that I love you, that’s all.

 

Christine(not knowing what to do):Uh..um, those flowers. It’s just too depressing.

Christine walks away.

 

Sho looks at the flowers in his hand and starts running.

 

Christine notices someone (with a bag of fertilizer) at the flower beds in front of the school, and she  goes near them. She stands behind them, silently watching what they are doing.  The person suddenly turns around.

 

Sho (smiling): Christine! Oh.. um. I decided to re-plant these flowers so I ran and bought some fertilizer at the nearby flower shop.

 Christine smiles at him, and he returns it with a smile of his own. Sho then grabs the garden hose, and turns it on. He sprays her a little bit, and they both laugh. But he just a little above the large bush, and he tells her to look. Christine sees a beautiful rainbow within the water.

Sho: It’s a day late, but it’s your birthday present. Do you like it?

Christine: Hai! I like it very much! Arigatou!

Sho: Actually, Christine, I wanted to ask you if, maybe…I can be your boyfriend?

 Christine smiles at him, and pecks him on the cheek.

Christine: Sure!
